3 million is a big number. On Easter Sunday I passed 3 million views on Youtube. I still can't wrap my mind around it. I go about my everyday business (studying biology and medicine), but at the same time I am able to share my music and provide guidance through my tutorials to millions of people online. The world has become a strange place! Alright enough of my reminiscing, here's what been happening recently! My band, Sure Thing, release an EP with 4 brand new original songs [LINK]. If you like classical music, I uploaded videos of all 6 pieces which I performed in my undergraduate recital at Indiana University [LINK]. In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, I uploaded my arrangement of "Called Out in the Dark" by Snow Patrol, one of my favorite Irish bands! I also made an arrangement of "In My Life" by the Beatles. I also uploaded a new original composition, "Loose Change". This will appear on my upcoming album which I hope to release in 2013. Happy New Year! 2012 is going to be amazing. I have lots of arrangments and originals that I can't wait to share with you guys! I just uploaded my acoustic guitar arrangement of "When I'm 64", a timeless classic by The Beatles! A lots been going on recently! Back in March I received an endorsement deal (a first for me!) with K&K Sound. Yesterday I was featured on their website as November 2011 Artist of the Month! I wrote a review of their Meridian Microphone, which is a clip-on mic with terrific sound quality. I especially love using it on my classical guitar. I also recently was commissioned to write a piece (another first!) for the dedication of the Cyberinfrastructure Building at Indiana University. I usually avoid using effects pedals in my acoustic compositions, but in the spirit of technology I threw caution to the wind and wrote a my first piece which utilizes a loop pedal. I'm really happy with the outcome. Here is my live performance of "Synchronicity" in front of a crowd of ~400. As usual, tabs have been delayed by graduate classes and medical school applications, but they will get done at some point and I have a lot of new music on the way! The 4th of July is a great time for fireworks, but you know what's better than fireworks? Meteor Showers! Speaking of Meteor Showers, my new album "Meteor Shower" has been getting great reviews. Thank you so much to everyone who has downloaded the album (available under the "Music" tab) and has given me such great feedback. You can find me featured in THE UNDERGROUND GUITARIST this summer (Thank you Mac!). In other news, my acoustic cover of Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga has been getting a lot of attention with over 10,000 views already! Happy cinco de mayo! I have just released my 2nd album, "Meteor Shower". It features 10 compositions on guitar, plus 1 ukulele piece. Welcome to my brand new website! There are lots of cool links to check out including, photos, upcoming shows and my answers to frequently asked questions about my music and guitar in general. And if you haven't yet, please check out my 1st album, "What I Like". This site is still under construction, and this spring and summer I will be furiously writing out tabs/sheet music for my music.
